We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time. We leave Katherine (and our caravan) at 5:30am, ready for a big days drive into Nhulunbuy. In this photo, we are still on the tar road and the sun is rising over Arhnem Land. The whole trip was 750kms with over 600kms of dirt. On the way we saw, brolgas, a dingo, jabiru's and buffalos! The trip took us about nine and a half hours. The road in was better than Chris anticipated and the excitement of driving through this beautiful country made the trip go fast.Sunday, September 11, 2011
