Happy Birthday to me!

This year, I got to celebrate my birthday in Darwin. What a way to start the day....with a delicious breakfast in bed!!
I enjoyed a picnic lunch at Alexander Park with my Mobile Mission Maintenance family! They spolit me and made my day extra special!

These are a few of my favourite things...my day finished with cheese, dip and wine on Mindil Beach watching the sunset!! We then strolled through Mindil markets and headed home for bed!

Darwin (Round 2)

From Nhulunbuy, we travel back to our caravan in Katherine, stay the night, then drive to Darwin the next day. Again our caravan is left behind and we stay at the Mobile Mission Maintenance house in Darwin. We are excited to be back and enjoy catching up with friends and visiting some of our favourite places like the water park and Parap markets! Chris heads to work with Darryl (MMM state manager NT) and Geoff (MMM associate who he worked with in Brisbane).

Nhulunbuy - NT

We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time. We leave Katherine (and our caravan) at 5:30am, ready for a big days drive into Nhulunbuy. In this photo, we are still on the tar road and the sun is rising over Arhnem Land. The whole trip was 750kms with over 600kms of dirt. On the way we saw, brolgas, a dingo, jabiru's and buffalos! The trip took us about nine and a half hours. The road in was better than Chris anticipated and the excitement of driving through this beautiful country made the trip go fast.

After a big day driving in, it was so nice to be with great friends. It had been a long time since we'd been in a house and enjoyed being able to spread out a bit. Tracy let me take over her kitchen, laundry etc etc. I had a great time 'playing house'.

All the kids got on so well. They had such a great week playing together and exploring Nhulunbuy! Thanks Hayden, Emma and Ben!

Nhulunbuy has the most amazing beaches. Unfortunately you can't just jump in the clear blue water. You always have to be on the lookout for crocodiles, so we don't go in much past the knees.

Turtle Beach-Nhulunbuy

Little beach babes and one surfie spunk!!

We had a great afternoon out at Turtle Beach

A beach never looses its appeal!! The girls always love it. It was more than just watching them in the surf...we were also on croc patrol!!

This was a night we won't forget! We've never had a bonfire on the beach before and couldn't think of a better place to do it. Such a great thing to do in Nhulunbuy!

Chris and Tim have had a great time in the last week with fishing, surfing (with crocodiles!), a round or two of golf, checking out garage sales and numerous trips to the tip (as you do!!)

What better way to finish off a great evening..... toasting marshmallows??

Hello again NT!!!!

We felt the excitement rising as we neared the border. The Barkley Highway meant long days of travelling, but we were looking forward to being in the Northern Territory again! We had to play Sara Storer as we came through Camooweal and crossed into the NT...'Back in the Territory'

Camooweal, Qld

I couldn't just put a photo of one girl on....so here's all 3 of them riding a bull in the Camooweal Drover's Rest. After watching the cowboys at Mareeba Rodeo, these girls knew just what to do!!
